This is the Director.

In Russia a Director is a person who manages a company. You can meet phrases like «director of a shop» or «director of a plant».When I finished shipbuilding institute I got a job in a big shipyard. It was an unbelievable experience. I took part in building the first soviet aircraft carrier. It’s that same unhappy «smoky»…

And when I began building card models again after a long long break, I decided to organize my own shipyard on my desktop.As a result, a French longboat of the XVIII century. After the longboat I started to develop a model of an airplane. I always loved aviation. So appeared my Avia Factory as a division of my Shipyard.

Unfortunately, a new break in my desk plant’s working. I had to do another job to earn living money.

And now in the end I try to do a third attempt to rebuild my lovely occupation. Pandemic helps me….

Welcome to my Shipyard!

When I was a teenager one day I asked my father to buy an annual subscription on Polish card model magazine Maly Modelarz or short speaking Maly. It cost 1,28 rbl which was equal to the cost of two lunches in a working dinning room. Soviet teens had no money and any mention of earning money by kids were considered as bad and almost antysoviet immoral behavior.

The first time I saw the Maly magazine was when my family visited my aunt. Her husband was a mining engineer and took part in building Prague’s underground. When they returned home again, my cousin showed me Maly which he carried from abroad. That was a shock. I was 10.

I carefully considered magazines of 1965 year and felt increasing fever. I wanted to try immediately. But I didn’t know how to handle Maly. Nobody knew. The first model was bad and not completed. But I understood I needed a huge amount of patience, good glue and possibility to sharpen my scissors. None of this I had.

The second try appeared a couple years after, when my school friends showed me their models from Maly.

This attempt was more successful. My first model was English jet-plane Lightning from #1 1974 of Maly.

Эта страничка посвящена с одной стороны памяти, с другой стороны, легендарному изданию.

Оно было из числа немногих, которые давали радость в жизни во времена, когда не было Интернета, мобильных и, вообще, практически никаких телефонов. Ну, и понятное дело, компьютеров и принтеров тоже не было.

Кроме клея ПВА и ножниц, ничего не было. Информации было мало. Зато было огромное желание строить. Наверное, это свойственно молодым людям и это правильно.

Вот, делюсь с вами моим модельным детством.

Это Директор. А это раздел новостей.
Новостей очень много и, что самое удивительное, много очень интересных новостей.
Народ работает и постоянно что-то изобретает. Много всего интересного.
Я буду рассказывать новости о моделях, новых разработках, новых бумажных технологиях и так далее. Я буду рассказывать вам о новостях из мира моделей, и не только об этом.
Жизнь шире, чем мир моделей. Иногда я буду рассказывать и о других её сторонах. Это будут разные новости. Там будет всего понемногу.

Я надеюсь вам это понравится.

Каждый мастер имеет свои собственные секреты. Некоторые из них хранят свои секреты так, что никто и никогда не догадается, что это мастер.
Другие предпочитают делиться секретами с друзьями и коллегами. Тогда начинается оживлённая дискуссия и рождаются новые идеи.
Я сторонник второго пути. Всегда интересно сделать что-то своё. И когда получается новая технология, хочется разделить радость открытия с близкими по духу людьми.
